April Charity Project: Join us to donate medical gears to protect frontline medical workers. (All donations are tax-deductible).

As some of you may know, for the past 6 years, Borboleta has been donating a part of proceeds to funding breakfast and educational programs and materials to underprivileged students in Thailand. Now the schools are closed and we are not sure when they will reopen. We decided to donate to a more emergency cause which is to fight the pandemic of Covid19. Frontline medical workers, especially those at the rural hospitals are in immediate danger because they do not have enough protective gears to treat patients. We will also create “emergency kit” which includes alcohol spray, rice, canned food, masks, face shields etc. to people in need in remote areas or slums.

What we will donate:

1. PPE forms (from a factory that has certificate from the government.)
2. Face Shields (from a factory that produces helmets. Unlike the DIY face shields, these face shields have very clear glass and the soft cushion where it is attached to the forehead. Very comfortable to wear all day).
3. Alcohol (from a factory that has FDA certificate).
4. M-95 Masks (we haven’t found a legitimate factory or distributor. If you have contacts please share with us).
5. Fabric masks (from factory and vetted by Thailand Textile Institute).

What you can do to help:

1. Volunteer your time to help us call hospitals and arrange for donations.
2. Donate money. 100% of donations will go directly to buy medical supplies and delivery fees. We don’t deduct any overhead or other expenses. All donations are handled by the Ocean of Wisdom Foundation.

3. Support Borboleta bags. A part of proceeds from every bag will be donated to this campaign.
4. Share this post to spread the word to more people and hopefully we can help more hospitals.
5. Inform us of any hospitals you know in the rural areas so that we can reach out to them.
